This week we've been entertaining guests from England. Mark Oliver from London and Steve from Crowbourogh who also happens to be Mark Knight's cousin. It has been fun and refreshing having them here. Steve left yesterday and Mark leaves Sunday. Will be happy, er, I mean, deeply sad to see him go.

I helped my friend Paula with a photo montage for a theater production she is in charge of. Last week I took photos of the rehearsals. This week we arranged the photos on a big display for the audience to enjoy. I think the display looks really nice, classy and clean. There are two performances today. I will probably go to at least one. Tomorrow I am hosting a baby shower for said friend Paula. We all have been highly involved in her life in recent months especially regarding her pregnancy and we are looking forward to celebrating with her tomorrow before she heads back to Sweden next week to live with her husband who has been waiting for her there.

Last night we attended the birthday party of Juanan at his house a half hour out of town. I met a man at the party who may be a possible contact for the Triburbana website. He works for a local radio station and does commentaries on newly released music. He has written articles that may be useful for our website. He may also know of other sources that would be helpful as well.
Also had a lovely talk with friend Cecilio at the party. I felt comfortable enough to mention to him some of my creative ideas for the fall and he was so encouraging. He also encouraged me to keep facilitating the creativity course I've been trying out with different people. When I left the party I gave him a big hug and he had tears in his eyes. He is very, very sweet and I think it still breaks him up a bit that I got beat up in the street a couple months ago.

Today I am working on getting my blog switched over from Blogger to Moveable Type. So we may see a new and improved Sketchbook in the next couple days. Would like to get it done before Jonah goes to Madrid on Sunday.

Jonah, Jim and Mark are going to Madrid for a week to teach at a YWAM school there. I will stay home and take care of Kati. Also roommate Amanda will be here all week. I borrowed a sewing machine from Juanan and Inma and hope to get a lot of sewing done this week with Amanda's help. Trying to recycle and update clothes a bit.

Right now we have a typical spanish scenario going on in the house. We had water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom so the plumber (with 2 friends) has come round to tear open the ceiling, conference with friends for a couple hours, declare that there is nothing wrong and then leave with the bathroom completely torn apart, full of debris and serious renovation. Highly entertaining. Just gotta sit back, relax, enjoy the comedy and expect that sooner or later it will be taken care of.

ok, just had a look at the bathroom and miraculously the debris is gone. The bathroom is usable and there only remains a gaping hole in the ceiling that will be fixed next week. Not as bad as I had originally pictured.
