I've just finished two days of running around crazy trying to get the papers together to apply for a 800 hour course in theater costuming. After waiting in 5 lines, filling out 6 pages of forms, designing 1 resume with Jonah's help, literally running back and forth across town 7 times and surviving 1 interview in spanish I may have a chance at getting into the class. Hopefully the fact that by the time they interviewed me they had lost my resume and head shot and that I was so nervous that my spanish sounded like I had only just arrived in Spain that morning won't affect the outcome too much. We'll see by next Wednesday.
Costuming is something that I always regretted not pursuing when I was younger so it would be cool to be able to pick that up again at this stage.

Jonah left this morning for Madrid. Boohoo. I am looking forward to using my time for sewing and such. Today though I think I will have to take a long siesta as I am very tired
from not much sleep last night and the trauma of the interview.

YAY!! some people actually read my blog. that is encouraging to know.

Well, I have officially decided not to do voice lessons this year until I can get some bugs worked out. Mainly, get a piano, a place to teach and better cross cultural resources. I will continue to help people with their here and there questions or mini lessons but as far as making a job out of it better to just let it go for now.
I am still hopeful for other opportunities to use my musical gifts...meanwhile I will keep setting aside blocks of time to work on art, music, poems, etc.

So Jonah leaves tomorrow morning to Madrid. He will be there for meetings with YWAM until Saturday night. While he is gone I hope to spend some quality time with God to get refocused on how to best spend the next several months. Quite a few things I had hoped to be doing these next few months have fallen through so I feel I need to take a break with God and get refocused and be open to new ideas.

Jonah and I had a really good time with friends Inma and Juanan today. they invited us over for a very nice lunch. Spinach crepes, cous cous, and tomato salad with wine and for desert ice cream and herb tea. Yum. Juanan and Inma are lending me their sewing machine for a month so I can get a pile of mending done.

Juanan and Inma have two little very cute girls and they really want to go horseback riding and invited me to go maybe in a couple weeks. I hope that works out because I really miss horses.
