My article that I wrote about life in Spain got published on the 3rd of August in the Bakersfield Californian. WOOHOO my first published thing. kind of exciting and I'm even quite proud of what I wrote for my first thing.

still enjoying being with Jesus and Rachel at the beach and catching up on my new favorite TV program CSI. I rarely have a sincerely favorite TV show but this one is really good.

Reading a book called The Heart of the Artist that is helping me to count the cost of being an artist and use my gifts for God and take steps to be more effective, etc...

We had a good prayer time with Eli and Justin yesterday. They were really encouraging and felt from God that our focus in Sevilla is to Celebrate and to Serve which Jonah and I agree with and are excited about.

Kati dug up an entire planter and chewed up a watering can so we will be paying a trip to the gardening center to replace what was destroyed by our lovely dog.

Rachel leaves tomorrow to travel to Vermont for a summer visit with family.
